Ramiro "Ram" Hernandez changed gears in life several years back, after spending a few decades as a CPA and audit director for fortune 500 companies. Over the past four years, he's won a number of awards for the short films and screenplays he's produced; including Best Director, Best Short Film, and Best Screenplay for 40 Seconds and Replay. He also won three screenplay awards for The Blue Light, including the GAIA award at the Moondance Int'l Film Festival in Hollywood. The Blue Light inspired him to produce his first feature film Phoenix Falling, an epic tale of betrayal and self-discovery filmed in over 30 locations, sporting a cast of 80, starring Emily Rae from Lost / The Office and Lesley Staples of Disney's Calendar Girls. While this film is still in post production, he just released the new short film Phoenix Down, an exciting heart-felt drama with fighter jets over the South China Sea. The 9 minute Phoenix Down is actually the backstory / prologue for Phoenix Falling!
